Photographing newborns with their older siblings who are only couple of years old themselves, can sometimes be a challenge. We all know how active toddlers are and how gentle we need to be with an infant. When I go to a newborn session and they have an older sibling I am very curios to see how the older child is around the new baby because it is it is such a big change for a little toddler, the first baby, who is used to being in the centre of attention. Sometimes I see a lot of love and affection, and I feel more comfortable moving on with photographing the little ones together. And, of course, sometimes there is a little jealousy and resentment; it’s not easy to share mommy and daddy with this tiny stranger who takes up a lot of their time and attention. I must say, when I found out that Daniel’s sister Rhea was just a bit over ONE I was a bit concerned on how we would take the siblings photos but the little Miss was absolutely great!! It normally happens with little girls to be a lot more open for photos with the new baby for some reason, and we had a lot of strategies in place: she was showered with attention by mum, dad, grandma and granddad as it is so important to have the parents involved in the whole process!!
And needless to say, what a dream baby Daniel was!! But I am sure you will draw your own conclusions once you see his beautiful session!!
I hope you all enjoy your Sneak Peak of Baby Daniel!!
